Cookery: Chocolate Chip Cookies

If i have to make a list of things that makes my world goes around, i will have to include COOKING, because i enjoy it so much, it becomes an essential part of my life.

For this entry, i'm gonna talk about my all-time fav: Choc chip cookies. And, i really enjoy sharing (with anyone who's interested) the recipes i've tried and came out nice, so this is exactly the thing i'm gonna do: SHARE.

This is a fairly easy thing to make. Well, actually, to be honest, this is the ONLY cookies i've ever made, so maybe for me it has become an easy thing. And i HAVE been making these cookies for years. Hehe.

First, we'll start with the ingredients:

*purleez try to use standard measuring cups to measure the ingredients, k? even for the teaspoons, use the standard one

2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder/baking soda
1 tsp salt

250g butter (try ur best to get сливочное масло (which is butter) and NOT margarine, okay? kalau confuse tak tau nak beli yang mane, kat "department" dairy products tuh, carik yang mane harga mahal2 sket, sebab kalau yang murah macam 8-9 rubles, tu pastinye margarine)
1 cup granulated sugar

1 whole egg
1 egg yolk (reti tak nak asingkan yolk from the white?)
1 tsp vanilla essence

Choc chips (kalau sebetulnye la....but memandangkan kat russia yang tercinta ni haku tak tau la plak katne nak carik choc chips kan, bole je gune chocolat bar yang dipotong cube kecik2....i usually use alpen gold's: 1 bar milk choc + 1 bar dark choc..but suke ati la nak gune choc ape2 ponn..)

NOW......cecara membuatnye.

1st skalik, pastikan butter dan telur berada pada suhu bilik, which means, kalau nak buat biskut ni time petang, kluarkan la telur dan butter from the fridge pagi tu ke, tghari tu ke...

So, kalau sume bahan dah ade kat atas meja. Kite MOOOLERR!
1) into a large bowl, combine tepung, baking soda/powder and salt dan gaul bersama using a fork, try to gaulkan serata mungkin. Then, amek sifter atau penapis yang tak begitu halus (kalau takde, pinjam je kat Amy Nur Diyana, room 214 hostel 3) and put the mixture into the sifter dan sift into another bowl.

2) into another big bowl (bape banyak mangkuk nak gune ni?), put the butter and sugar. Using a wooden spoon/sudip, beat them until kembang (camne nak tau ek? emmm.....beat 'em up sampai the colour becomes pale)......this can be tiring at first, but teruskan aje, jangan nak malas malas!).

3)then, throw in the eggs (both whole and yolk) and vanilla and kacau lagi sampai kembang.

4)bile dah kembang, masukkan mixture tepung tadi and kacau pelan2, so that muke korang tak dicemari tepung2 itu. bile dah agak well incorporated, boleh la kacau laju2 sket, sampai la sume tepung tu bercampur dan tak de napak putih2 lagi.

5)finally, masukkan choc pieces dan gaul bagi rata dan tak bertompok sana sini. basically, the dough dah siap dan kalau Lope ada berhampiran, bole la suruh die makan, sebab Lope sangat suke makan bende2 camtuh.

6)eh, lupe nak cakap tadi...before nak start buat, preheat la dulu oven korang (abt 175C) ye.

7)amik baking pan, line with baking sheets/grease it.

8)so, skang nih, ntuk letak dough tu kat baking tray, korang boleh la gune tangan ke, gune sudu ke.....macam ni hah:

9)bile dah abis letak, masuk dalam oven and bakar lebih kurang 10 mins kot. Pandai2 la check sendri ek. Kalau nak tau dah masak ke blum, check for its colour. it should become golden brown.

10)bile dah masak, kluarkan the tray from oven, tunggu sejuk sket, then baru angkat biskut tu dan letak atas pinggan (or ideally wire rack) dan bagi die completely cool before transferrring the cookies in to a beautiful IKEA cookie jar.

Finally, pamerkan hasik kerja ni kat sume tetamu yang datang ke bilik........

Okay? Cube la ye? And tell me the result. Kalau tak sedap tuh, tau tau la nak tunding jari kat sape kan?

ish ish, ain ni......mengapa ada sifat malas? itu tidak bagus....

ain, it does sound tempting tau. ni tak letak gamba lagi dan tak bau lagi aroma yang menusuk lubang hidung lepas adunan biskut ni dibakar......baik ain try. senang jerr.
