Song Review: I'm the Lucky One

I have some happy moments in my life and one of those moments is when i found out that Anuar Zain (my most favourite malaysian male singer at the moment) released a new album after 5 years (but thank God he decided to sing something in between those years..you know, that haunting song from the schweet movie "Cinta"). Unfortunately i'm in russia, so i couldn't get the cd. But fortunately the world wide web is here, so i got to download the whole album. YAY!

Of course, before the album was released, they started playing the first single "Lelaki Ini", which was a hit, topping the charts in most malay radio stations. I, of course, got hooked on it immediately after the first listen.

Then, after i downloaded the whole album, i listened to it and again, immediately fell in love with it! All the songs are good!

The first song i fell in love with was the first track, called "I'm the Lucky One". At first, i thought it was an english song (the title's english, rite?), but no. It's a malay song with the phrase "I'm the lucky one" inserted in some places, just like Kris Dayanti's "I'm sorry, goodbye".

So, to start the review: To me, if i wanted to describe this song in one word, it would be: SWEET. Lyrically, there's a positive tone in it, telling the listeners to "celebrate" love. Melodically, it's very merdu! i just melted when i listened to it, and Anuar's voice just makes this song a special song. The part that really got me smiling was when he started singing the first line of the chorus: Meski bercinta kadang tak indah, tapi untuk buktikan kau yang terindah......very indonesian.

Song Review: Pour Que Tu M'aime Encore

Privyet vsyem.........

I'd like to share with you a very beautiful song, lyrically AND melodically. Macam yang tertulih kat atas teww, tajuk die Pour Que Tu M'aime Encore, which is french for (bak kata Vikash dan Varun) "So That You'll Love Me More".

Ok, briefing sket pasal penyanyi lagu ni:

Originally, this song was sung by Celine Dion (oh, so Diva!), but i've never heard it before. Then, i listened to the songs of the group Il Divo (haaa, mesti ramai tak tau kan, pasal group nih) and this song played. I was so captivated! Haiyooooooooo, best sangatz! Obviously, at first i fell in love with this song because of the melody la kan? Ye la, sejak bile pulak aku blaja french plak kan, nak paham what the song means? So, sebab minat yang sangat bernafsu, i searched for the lyrics from the net, dengan harapan nak nyanyi la kat bilik kan. Tapi....french ni mmg siyall tau, bukan main susah lagi nak pronounce the words. So, i went to Vikash for help in the pronunciation and stuffs. It actually helped la jugak. Then he offered to translate the song for me. So, i said, "yeah, sure. If you have the time." So he did. And my oh my, i almost melted while he was translating it. I mean, it's not super duper great or anything, but it certainly means something. But actually, the main word is : BEAUTIFUL . So, just so you know, i've been and still practising this song. Kene hafal nih!
